Red Ribbon Week is October 28-31. HMHS will participate in Red Ribbon Spirit Week. All dress-up days are optional, and the dress code still applies.
Monday - Comfy Cozy Day (dress in your favorite sweats and/or slippers)
Tuesday - Color War (9th-grade wear red, 10th-grade wear purple, 11th-grade wear black/white, 12th-grade gold/maroon)
Wednesday - Hat Day
Thursday - Crazy Hair and Crazy Socks Day
Hillsboro High School will also be participating in a Rock Paper Scissors Red Bead Contest!!
Each high school teacher and staff will receive one string of beads on Monday during resource (student council reps will bring them around). During passing periods or allowed times in the classroom, students can challenge another person to a rock-paper-scissors game. Whoever wins gets all the beads from another person. On Thursday, during resource time, anyone with 10 or more beads can come to the middle school gym to see who is the winner!
PRIZES: The overall school winner will receive a $50 Amazon Gift Card from SAPC. The student with the most beads from each class will receive a prize basket from our Student Council. Have fun!
On Wednesday, during resource, there will be a chance to get back in the game—come to the auditorium lobby, and you can buy a new set of beads for 25 cents. Only one per person.
