GOOD LUCK GIRLS BASKETBALL/PEP RALLY: Good luck to the girl’s basketball team beginning state play tonight in Hutchinson. Game time is 8:15 pm against Garden Plain. Come cheer the basketball girls on to a state win. Today at 3 pm, bring your dollar and shoot a free throw for a 2 liter bottle of pop during the pep rally in the big gym. Please dismiss the cheerleaders and band students at 2:45 pm.
YEARBOOK PRICES: The price of a 2010 yearbook will go from $40 to $45 at the end of March. You should have received an email indicating that you have not purchased a book yet. But, we may have missed you. If you are not sure, check with the office by April 1st to ensure you get the lower price.
LOCKER ASSIGNMENTS: Attention all male athletes participating in winter and spring sports--in order to accommodate the teams competing this spring, we need to re-arrange locker assignments. All wrestlers and basketball players not competing in a spring sport need to move to the old locker room facility next to the MS gym. Those participating in baseball and tennis will need to move to a locker on the east side of the new locker room facility. Track athletes will need to get a locker on the west side of the new facility. These moves need to be completed by the time we return from spring break so that teams competing this spring can have all of their athletes in one location. If you have questions, see Mr. Rempel.
TRACK: Track athletes wishing to check out gray practice sweats may go to Mr. Boldt’s room at the beginning of LS today.
FFA: FFA Members--a sign-up has been posted for Fort Scott Aggie Days. If you are interested in judging, please see Mrs. Roberts. Also, Mrs. Roberts will be emailing you the officer application for the 2010-2011 school year. Applications are due April 1st. If you have any questions, please see her.
TEACHERS: Teachers--please stop by the office to sign up for an item to bring for the luncheon tomorrow.
DRAMA TICKETS: Tickets for Southern Hospitality are on sale in the High School office. The performances are March 26th & 27th. All tickets are $5. No reserve seating. The play is a comedy well-worth seeing. See Donna to purchase your tickets.
BOY'S BASKETBALL: There will be a boy's basketball meeting today during LS in Mr. Knoll's room.
CHEERLEADER TRYOUTS: Come join the fun! Cheerleader/yell leader tryouts for next year will be March 31st, 2010. Stop by the office to sign up and pick up a packet.
WIEBE MEDIA CENTER NOTICE: Notice to all students--the library will close at 3:30 pm today.
YEARBOOK: A reminder to those interested in being accepted for placement on the 2010-2011 yearbook staff--the deadline for applying is today.
FREE LS: There are still around 13 students who haven't taken advantage of their free LS for donating blood. You must take your free LS today. You will NOT be able to take it after spring break.
CINDERELLA'S CLOSET: Cinderella's Closet is coming Sunday, March 21st from 2-6 pm at Hillsboro MB church. Brand new and used dresses have been donated. Come find a dress and take it home free of charge. Come look and see what they have and register for prizes.
SEASONAL JOBS: The City of Newton has posted notices for seasonal jobs available for the summer. The notices are posted in the announcement case outside the office.
